Which Department On Campus Offers Safety Escort Services?
As a safe culling to walking alone at dark, the CSO Rubber Escort plan is a 24-hour complimentary service for members of the UCI community. Safety escorts are provided to the post-obit locations:
- Primary Campus
- University Inquiry Park
- All campus housing areas
- Academy Town Eye Apartments
CSOs are equipped with radios that allow them to maintain constant communication with the constabulary department.
When requesting a safety escort, you lot'll need to provide the following data:
- Your name
- Your location
- Your jail cell telephone number
- Your destination
A uniformed CSO will then escort you to your destination, informing constabulary dispatch that you've safely reached your destination.
This plan isn't intended to supersede existing transportation services such equally the campus shuttles, ride sharing apps, or discourage individuals from walking in groups.
Safe escorts will be primarily conducted by human foot.
